Portside warehouses have given way to the Bains des Docks, Le Havre’s aquatics centre, which will astound you with its remarkable architecture designed by Jean Nouvel.
Inspired by the concept of the Roman baths, this new aquatics complex is a veritable architectural masterpiece.

Inaugurated in 2017, the Bains des Docks draws inspiration from natural pools carved into the earth, with lighting effects that let you swim through a range of colours. Another original aspect of this aquatics complex is the series of openings in its façade that allow you to look in on the indoor spaces from outside.

The "Telegraph" has listed the Bains des Docks as one of the coolest city pools in the world, no less ?

A great aquatics complex

This great aquatics complex fulfils a double role: fun and sport!
It’s made up of a heated outdoor swimming pool with 8 lanes, 50m long and 21m wide with a depth of 1.80m, and it also boasts an indoor/outdoor pool of 286m² of the same depth and equipped with entertainments for the kids.

You will also find a sauna, hammam, fitness room, relaxation and spa space. Sporty types can take advantage of the 50 metre outdoor pool and a range of smaller pools where you can enjoy a spot of family fun!
