Hotel near the railway and bus station of Le Havre

Do you know that the railway station of Le Havre was put in service in 1847 ? The railway station was conceived by Henri Pacon in 1932. Before this architect, there have been 2 precursors. The Le Havre railway station has a very long and rich history. NOMAD hotel is located near the station, if you arrive by train or by bus, a one minute walk will get you tp the hotel ! AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR...

The railway station wasn't spared from the war. At least 20 bombs hit the building during the war. It was fixed in 1949.

The station's clock….

You have probably noticed the metal tower with the clocks inside it near the train station ? This clock is a symbol. At the same place, you could find the orignal clock that was destroyed in the 1970's. This tower with the clock was a landmark (like a lighthouse). It even had a siren !
