NOMAD Hotel Le Havre becomes the first hotel in Normandy to obtain
the European Ecolabel! 
The NOMAD Hotel LE HAVRE has just obtained European Ecolabel certification!
In order to guarantee you a 100% eco-responsible stay, it was important for us to obtain irrefutable proof of our commitments to the planet & environmental protection.
The European Ecolabel is the only ecological label that is officially recognized.
Our results have been certified by Afnor and a rigorous audit is carried out every two years.

Safeguarding the environment has always been a priority for NOMAD Hotels!
Eco-responsibility is in our DNA.
Our objective: to reduce the ecological footprint of our hotels as much as possible, from their construction to their operation.
This is a global and inclusive approach.

Nothing is wasted...
At NOMAD we make sure that nothing goes to waste. In fact, right from the very start we decided to use 100% recycled materials only.
From the carpet to the duvet, here are a few examples of what this means to us!
The carpet
all the way along the NOMAD corridors, the fibres used in the manufacture of our carpets have been produced from recycled fishing nets. You could say that this is a nod to our Breton roots!
This is all done out of respect for nature and to provide optimum insulation.
Wood flooring and furniture
our oak and birch features are 100% PEFC and FSC approved. That means they are sourced from sustainably grown forests. All our rooms boast wood floors for that warm and welcoming feel.
Toilets and shower trays
The toilets and shower trays used in NOMAD rooms are made from 90% mineral powders made from quarry residues and they are 100% recyclable.

Passive energy building
BEPAS
In line with the ADEME (Agency for the Environment and Energy Management), the NOMAD Hotel ROISSY CDG Airport has received recognition as a passive energy building (BEPAS). It meets the most exacting criteria in terms of thermal efficiency and energy efficiency.
Everything is transformed...
...or almost everything! At NOMAD we are constantly looking at ways to reassess our approach, whether in terms of our internal or external recycling processes!
Soap bars
Thanks to our partnership with SAPOCYCLE, we recycle all the soap bars used by our guests during their stay. Transformed with the help of various social integration programmes, these are then distributed to people in need in order to help improve their daily lives.
Coffee pods
NOMAD takes part in a scheme to collect used coffee pods. The aluminium is recovered and recycled to create new items such as cans, bicycles, etc. In the future, new coffee pods will be created from old ones: we’re working on it!
Rainwater
At NOMAD, we collect rainwater that, once filtered, is used to fill our toilet cisterns and feed the water features in the buildings’ public areas.
Organic waste
Alongside the association Bin Happy, the organic waste created by the restaurants at NOMAD Hotel Le Havre is used to create compost or biogas through a technique called methanization
What about the lifts that use energy recovery systems?
Yes indeed, at NOMAD Hotels even the lifts are part of our goal to reduce energy use and reuse everything! The kinetic energy created by the breaking mechanisms of the lifts is recovered and reused to power our electrical systems!

The air treatment system employs an energy recovery system
Double windows for thermal and acoustic insulation
Solar panels on the roof produce hot water
Ventilation controlled at 90m³/hour with temperatures regulated depending on the time of year
Led lighting in the parking
100% renewable electricity
NOMAD Hotels works hard to help the climate by using electricity only from sources that are 100% renewable across all the hotels of the brand.

This can sometimes involve just a small change. Tiny streams create mighty rivers! NOMAD is asking you to try! You have the chance to do this as soon as you make your booking on line!
A great idea: by selecting eco-responsible options you can bring down the cost of your stay! JACKPOT!
Saving water
Why not limit your water use at the hotel, just like at home? If you select this option you still get 100L per person per night. Beyond that amount your flow of water will be reduced.
No air conditionning
If you tend to switch off the air conditioning as soon as you step into a hotel room, this option is perfect for you!
No TV
When you arrive late to a hotel you often feel like doing just one thing… sleeping! Or perhaps you’re not a big fan of TV? Select the No-TV NOMAD option!
No change of towels or sheets
Are you staying at the hotel for a few nights? Do you really need to change your sheets every morning?
Selective recycling
In your bedroom or in the lobby at NOMAD, just like at home, maintain those good habits and recycle!
No cleaning
How about doing without having your room cleaned during your stay? (We promise that the room will be cleaned before the next guest arrives ;))
